Amphitheatrically built on seven hills, the city blends harmoniously both the modern and the ancient element, creating a mosaic of charming contrasts. We will visit the Archaeological Museum, the Greek-Roman Theater and the Hellenistic Acropolis. We will then depart for ancient Jerash, the great ancient Greek city, built to host the ancient Macedonian warriors of Alexander the Great. We will take a tour of the world's best preserved Greek-Roman city, the so-called Pompeii of Middle East. The city was renamed "ancient Antioch" after Alexander the Great's death. We will admire the Triumphal Arch, the Hippodrome, the Gate and Agora, the Hadrian's Arch, the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Artemis and the theater. Our next stop is the spectacular Ajloun Castle on the Jordan Plateau, to admire all the splendor of the Arab-Islamic architecture of the 12th century. Return to Amman for dinner and overnight stay.

3rd day: Amman - Desert castles - Amman

After our breakfast, we will visit the beautiful desert castles. Built by the caliphs of the Umayyad dynasty between the 7th and 8th century, the castles represent the early Islamic architecture in its most striking form. We will pay a visit to three most important castles of Qasr: Kharanah, Amra & Azraq. After our fascinating excursion, return to our hotel in Amman for dinner & overnight stay.

4th day: Amman - Madaba - Nebo Mount - Bethania - Dead Sea

After breakfast, we will explore the sacred sites of Jordan. Through Kings National Road, our first stop is Madaba, the city of mosaics. On the floor of St. George's monastery, we will admire the ancient map showing the exit to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Then we will reach Mount Nebo where the tomb of Moses is traditionally found. We will take a stop to admire the stunning view over the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. Then we will visit Bethany, the sacred place where Jesus was baptised. Departure for the Dead Sea. Arrival at our hotel, room arrangement, dinner and overnight stay.

5th day: Dead Sea - Petra

After breakfast we will have the opportunity to swim in the healing waters of the Dead Sea for at least 2 hours. We will then depart for Petra, the most impressive archaeological site in the Middle East after the pyramids of Egypt. Carved into the rocks by the Arabian tribe of the Nabataeans is one of the 7 modern wonders of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985. Arrangement in the rooms, dinner and overnight stay.

Next, we will walk to Al Beida, the little Petra, to get lost between the ruins of the biblical structure and discover the remains of the ancient city. In the afternoon we will reach the desert of Wadi Rum, where we will enjoy an overnight stay under the shade of a rock in a Bedouin camp.
